At Darling Doodles, our focus is on producing loving, well-adjusted family pets. Australian Labradoodles make wonderful companions for families, couples, and individuals alike. They are incredibly sociable dogs who adore everyone they meet. Our dogs’ temperaments range from calm therapy prospects to playful, fun-loving family pets. They are exceptionally intelligent, and many of our families are pleasantly surprised by just how clever these dogs truly are.

All of our puppies are raised in a warm, nurturing home environment and are given the very best start in life. We do not use kennels — every puppy is born and raised in our home. From a young age they are well socialised and interact with all of the dogs in our household, ensuring they leave us as happy, confident puppies.

Before any of our dogs join the breeding programme, they undergo thorough health testing. This includes OFA hip and elbow scoring, eye examinations every 18 months by a BVA specialist, and DNA testing to ensure they are free from hereditary diseases.

To all of our puppy families, we emphasise that puppy ownership during the first 12-18 months can be challenging. Even with the great start we provide, training and consistency must continue at home. House-training can take several months (after all, our children take years to master it — so a puppy won’t be clean overnight!). Puppy biting is also normal, but it can feel intense and overwhelming, especially for children.

We highly recommend starting puppy training as soon as you bring your puppy home. We particularly favour one-to-one training in your home, as group classes can be full of distractions. With individual training, your puppy remains calm and focused, and you’ll gain far more from that dedicated hour.
